MEET THE VOXIES - A2: Steffie Le Roux
Meet our Astonishing Alto: Steffie Le Roux #Vox_Tribe
Q: What is your day job?
A: Just to get through the day haha!!! 😂
I am a traveler, explorer, and life-lover. To gather stories and moments to write and sing about. And if nobody else is looking, I am also a freelance actress/singer, and a drama teacher.

Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?
A: 16 years in choirs and ensembles.
Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?
A: So many memorable experiences. Our conductor, Franco Prinsloo's "Lig van Waarheid" performed in Cape Town with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra last year in November. I think that will be a moment forever treasured in my veins... ✨
Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?
A: What a crazy bunch of characters together?!?! However, it is the good kind of crazy. When we sing, we sing with one heart. You feel safe and worthy. I enjoy the professionalism with which this choir is operating. The detail, effort and time to make choir your home and happiness. It feels good to be here.🥰
Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: Every single piece is a favourite moment. Each movement in its own sacred space, has its own way of connecting to the soul.

Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: Oooooo, ALLES!!!!! Van die lashplak tot die taspak tot die aanpak van elke nuwe stuk musiek.🤩
Q: In which Vox-Tet (our octets) are you?
A: Spanton!!!!!! (Team Green 💚)
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: To be able to give back people's bravery they once believed in when they were four years old.

Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:
1. Reading - Emails, Dis-Chem-slips and the book, Weird is Beautiful;
2. Watching - Birds from my balcony, as I do not have a TV.
Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?
A: Drawing, traveling, writing, cooking and observing.
Q: Name a part in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time:
A: And this is exactly what gets me...for Franco as the composer for Vox, to be able to goosebump-compose all the time. The way that his harmonies collide is a remarkable remedy to the soul.
Q: Name a section in "Kruis van Liefde" that gives you goosebumps every time: A: "XIV. Dink aan My". Just sit back and listen to it here, you will understand:

A: Ek wil net die hele aardbol insluk, en begin rol.🤣 Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in? A: Boogskiet. Maar hoor my mooi. Die eerste keer wat ek my neus raakskiet met die mik van die teken, hou ek
