Q: What is your day job?

A: I’m a Creative Arts Therapist.

Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?

A: I’ve lost count! More than thirty years.

Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?

A: Eating “vetkoeke” at a Shoshanguve tavern during the World Choir Games - Tshwane 2018: INTERKULTUR.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?

A: Getting to know wonderful people that I probably never otherwise would have met - and being able to form deep and meaningful connections with each other through music, despite our colourful differences.

Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: Franco Prinsloo’s setting of Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18 - "Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day".

Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: To express ourselves as creative advocates for environmental protection with Franco Prinsloo’s composition: “Red list”.

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: To speak and understand all languages.

Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:

1. Reading - Frogs and frogging by Vincent Carruthers and Louis Du Preez;

2. Watching - Star Trek Discovery.

Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?

A: I’m exploring frogging, but some of my more established hobbies include, shopping for exotic plants and doting over Pug-dogs.

Q: Name a part in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time:

A: The last note of “Vrou, kyk daar is u Seun”, where we end in unison from Franco Prinsloo's newly composed Oratorio: "Kruis van Liefde", which we will première later this year. #excited

Q: List 3 things on your bucket list:

1. To sing in the "LA Sagrada Família" in Barcelona, Spain;

2. Sleep under the stars in the Karoo;

3. Swim and snorkel in Croatia.
