Meet our Brilliant Baritone: Hercules Boshoff #Vox_Tribe



Q: What is your day job?

A: I am a Lecturer in philosoph at Akademia.


Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?

A: Eight wonderful years.


Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?

A: Singing 30 pages of unknown music at my first practice. #blad_lees


Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?

A: The professional level of choral singing and everyone's commitment to the choir.


Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: My only one so far has been "Kruis van Liefde", and what a work to start with! Wow!🤩



Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: Being part of this brilliant team of choral artists that will bring Franco's new compositions to life.


Q: In which Vox-Tet (our octets) are you?

A: "Span Anton" - The Green Machine!💚


Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: Baking bread like the ones you buy in the good bakeries. I have been trying for years.


Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:

1. Reading - "Der Zauberberg" by Thomas Mann;

2. Watching - I do not have a television.


Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?

A: Tennis.🎾


Q: Name a section in "Kruis van Liefde" that gives you goosebumps every time:

A: "XIV. Dink aan my" - It has this energy that one can not actually put in words, you'll have to come tomorrow evening and experience it for yourself. In the meantime, listen to it here to get an idea:
