Q: What is your day job?

A: Forensic Accountant.

Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?

A: About 15 years.

Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?

A: When we performed "Op die negende uur" (a section from Franco Prinsloo's newly composed Oratorio: "Kruis van Liefde") at our recent Friends and Family Concert in December 2020. (It was my first concert performing as a proud Voxie). The organ was on full blast and all the men sang the words uttered by Jesus on the cross in such a powerful way.... Wow.... Immediate tears.

Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?

A: The community of it and experiencing amazing spirit strung moments together.

Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: "Droomreis" by Franco Prinsloo. ❤️ The piece is a setting of famous Afrikaans poet, Philip de Vos for choir, piano and string quartet.

Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: No-brainer...... Touring!!! Making heavenly music every day and bringing people (and ourselves) to tears.

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: Healing. Baymax me. 😉

Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:

1. Reading - CS Lewis;

2. Watching - No time to anymore.... However, White Collar was super fun pre-level 3 lock-down.

Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?

A: Being outside and enjoying God's creation. Walking about, etc.

Q: Name a part in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time:

A: When I place myself in Jesus's shoes when he said: "Vader, vergewe hulle, want hulle weet nie wat hulle doen nie" (also from "Kruis van Liefde" by Franco Prinsloo. We will perform his new Oratorio in a few months time).

Q: List 3 things on your bucket list?

1. The Otter and Camino hikes;

2. Playing in an orchestra (cello);

3. Speaking an African language fluently.
