Meet the Voxies: Ester Neeb (S2)

Meet our Scintillating Soprano: Ester Neeb #Vox_Tribe

Q: What is your day job?

A: Legal Consultant.

Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?

A: Most of my life - although there was a break in my mid 20's for a few years... So very excited to be back at it!

Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?

A: Hopefully there will still be too many to count! #vox_newbie

Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?

A: At the beginning of a new year I am so happy to be part of this amazing choir! I haven't gotten a chance to express myself musically for a long time and I am beyond excited to make this part of my life again!

Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: As I just started, I have only had the privilege to sing one piece - "Kruis van Liefde", composed by our conductor Franco Prinsloo, and it is AMAZING!

Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: Firstly to make breathtaking music come alive and secondly I hear there is a Vox European Tour in the works - so very much looking forward to that.

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: To be able to read a person's mind...

Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:

1. Reading - Nothing 🙈;

2. Watching - Virgin River, The Office and Friends for the millionth time (I might have a slight addiction😂).

Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?

A: I do love to read even though I am not reading something at the moment; spending quality time with my little boy and family.

Q: Name a section in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time:

A: A section in "Kruis van Liefde" where the characters realise that Jesus was in fact innocent. There is an incredible emotional build up and it gets me every-time - and the ending of "Kruis", of course, guys, you are in for a treat!

(Do make a note that the full Oratorio, "Kruis van Liefde" will be broadcasted on RSG (RADIO SONDER GRENSE) on the 2nd of April 2021. It is going to be very special...)

Q: List 3 things on your bucket list?

1. New York!!!

2. I want to go sledding and see the Northern Lights;

3. Do a tour through Israel.
