Q: What is your day job?
A: I am a Medical Doctor.
Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?
A: Mmmm, atleast 10 years. I have been singing since Primary School on and off.
Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?
A: Our Vox Secret Santa / Year End Function last year and being able to sing and record in "The Palace of Justice" in Pretoria. Both were very special events for me.
Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?
A: I love being able to sing and make music with people who love it in the same way I do.
Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: "Kruis van Liefde" - Franco Prinsloo. The entire 70 minutes of "Kruis van Liefde".
(Have a look at this "behind-the-scenes" short video about "Kruis van Liefde". This was created in March 2020 for our planned first performance of this new Easter Oratorio. Unfortunately the planned premiere had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 lock-down in South Africa. We are pleased to announce that the work will now be recorded and filmed in 2021. The full Oratorio will be broadcasted on radio (RSG "Radio Sonder Grense") on 02 April 2021.)
Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: I look forward to being able to perform again.
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: To speak all the languages in the world.
Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:
A:
1. Reading - The Choice;
2. Watching - Die Boekklub.
Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?
A: Painting.
Q: Name a section in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time:
A: The part in "Kruis van Liefde" - “op die negende uur...”, where our amazing Tenor, Hercules sings in his full voice.
Q: List 3 things on your bucket list?
1. Traveling the UK and Europe with my Husband;
2. Completing enough paintings to have an exhibition of my own;
3. Playing Piano again the way I used to as a child.
