Meet our Scintillating Soprano: Marissa Labuschagne #Vox_Tribe


Q: What is your day job? A: Landscape Architect.



Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir? A: Three years.


Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date? A: Singing our conductor, Franco Prinsloo's "Missa Brevis San Marco" in the Saint Mark’s Basilica in Venice, Italy during our 2019 - Vox European Tour.


Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox? A: Forgetting about everything and just focusing on the music.

Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir? A: "Gloria" from the "Missa Brevis San Marco" - Franco Prinsloo.

Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir? A: Singing beautiful music, creating magic and inspiring others.

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be? A: Mind reading 😏


Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment: 1. Reading - Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine; 2. Watching - The Office.

Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in? A: Traveling and cooking.

Q: Name a part in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time: A: The "Eloi Eloi lama sabachthani?" which means, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" part in Franco Prinsloo's newly composed Oratorio called: "Kruis van Liefde". We will premiere this work in 2021.🍾🎉

Q: List 3 things on your bucket list? 1. Seeing all the neighbouring countries before I am 30 :-/ 2. Running the two oceans; 3. Learning to scuba dive.
