Meet our Scintillating Soprano: Ruhané Erasmus​ #Vox_Tribe


Q: What is your day job?

A: Teacher.


Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?

A: 17 years.



Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?

A: The epic Vox Sorting Ceremony! It is a special ceremony where new singers gets sorted into their respective voices groups and their Vox_Tette. #fanny_mendelssohn_memorial_singers


Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?

A: The fact that we all could sightread "Spiderpig" on the spot and practically anything else as well.


Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: "Somerkersfees" - Franco Prinsloo. What a fantastic work!



Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?

A: The Vox European Tour in 2022 and lots of wine with my fellow Voxies.


Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: Teleportation. (Apparition - if you are a Harry Potter fan #Hufflepuff_here)



Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:

1. Reading - "The Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien;

2. Watching - Vikings.


Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?

A: Baking epic royal icing cookies.


Q: Name a part in a piece we perform that gives you goosebumps every time:

A: The whole "Kruis van Liefde" by our conductor, Franco Prinsloo​. (It is going to be aired on RSG on 2 April 2021 #watch_this_space).



Q: List 3 things on your bucket list:

1. Finishing all the artsy crafty projects in our house;

2. Struggle through the Silmarillion;

3. Visit Scotland.
