MEET THE VOXIES - T1: Hercules Hamman von Molendorff
Meet our Terrific Tenor: Hercules Hamman von Molendorff #Vox_Tribe
Q: What is your day job?
A: I'd like to be singing in Vox Full-time.🥳

Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?
A: About 12 years now.
Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?
A: The premiere of our conductor, Franco Prinsloo's new Christmas oratorio: "Lig van Waarheid" with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra. It was just such a wonderful experience working together with them in bringing "Lig van Waarheid" to life.
Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?
A: The family aspect of it. What started out as a bunch of strangers singing together, turned into a 2nd family. #my_tribe

Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: Such a difficult question. All the pieces that we perform are beautiful in their own right and everyday my answer would be different. Right now it would be "Magnificat" by our conductor, Franco Prinsloo, featured on our new album "Æternum". Listen to it here:
Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: Performing "Kruis van Liefde" once again. It is just such a powerful piece and takes people on a special journey. Due to the pandemic we could not perform it live for the general public, but only a selected few from the media. Therefore, it will be such a joy and pleasure to bring this work of art to the general public for the first time on the 15th of March. Guys, you are in for a treat! #get_your_tickets_TODAY!
Q: In which Vox-Tet (our octets) are you?
A: The BEST team! The Green Team💚. Team Anton Bruckner (Spanton!)
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: Teleportation. No need to book an expensive flight anywhere, just think where you want to be and you are there.

Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:
1. Reading - I'm yet again, reading the whole Harry Potter series. #Gryffindor ❤️
2. Watching - The Last of Us.
Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?
A: Does singing in Vox Chamber Choir count? Other than that I enjoy spending time with friends, playing golf, and traveling.⛳
Q: Name a section in "Kruis van Liefde" that gives you goosebumps every time:
A: "XIV. Dink aan my" - Amidst all the chaos happening around the crucifixion, this is a moment of intimacy. No organ, percussion, or instrumentalists. Just the voices of the choristers singing. The words "Jesus, remember me, when you come into your kingdom." Luke 23 verse 42, is the central message of this section. For me it signifies that no matter the hardship we face, or the situation we find ourselves in, all we need to do is be quiet and ask Jesus to just think of us. Goosebumps every single time. Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: I would once again like to travel to the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is just such a wonderful place, with so much to see and do... not to mention all the Harry Potter related activities! 🤩
