Q: What is your day job?
A: Chief of Strategy at ETIKET Brand Design.
Q: How many years have you been singing in a choir?
A: 42 (skipped a rehearsal here and there…)
Q: What has been your most memorable experience with Vox to date?
A: Performing our conductor, Franco Prinsloo's "Missa Brevis 'San Marco’" in the Basilica San Marco during evening mass when we toured Europe in July 2019. #Vox_Euro_Tour What a mindblowing experience!
Q: What do you enjoy the most about being part of Vox?
A: Vox has a saying: "Love, Acceptance and Phrasing". It is a true encapsulation of the Vox community, values and way of singing. And there are endless opportunities of teasing the Tenor 3’s, previously known as Baritones.😂
Q: Which piece is your favourite that you have performed with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: Sjoe, this is a tough one…Franco’s intimate setting of Van Wyk Louw’s ‘By alle skone dinge’ is an all-time favourite. Listen to it here:
Q: What do you look forward to the most with Vox Chamber Choir?
A: Engaging appreciative audience members through newly composed music. You can clearly see when an audience member “gets” a certain piece, and that is magic and bliss. (But I always ONLY look at the conductor so this is strictly what other people tell me…)
Q: In which Vox-Tet (our octets) are you?
A: I am a proud member of "Die Heilige Hildegard Harmoniste" - Team Red!❤️ #hoe_rooier_hoe_mooier
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: To negotiate world peace. I am tired of all the hurly-burly on the planet!
Q: What are you reading/binge watching at the moment:
1. Reading – Conscious Capitalism by John Mackay and Rad Sisod;
2. Watching – Blacklist on Netflix.
Q: Name another hobby/interest you participate in?
A: I host intimate dinner-theatre events called ‘Storie-etes’ at my home.
Q: Name a section in "Kruis van Liefde" that gives you goosebumps every time:
A: I love quiet movements. ‘Dink aan My’ is the only a capella movement in the Oratorio and a quiet supplication of Luke 23:42: “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom…” Listen to it here:

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: Prague – it is my most favourite city in Europe. It is breathtakingly beautiful and I carry many special memories of previous visits.🍷
