LIG | KRUIS | KROON: The Story of Glorification Through Suffering
LIG | KRUIS | KROON is a contemporary triptych that reimagines the Passion of Christ through suffering transformed into glory. Inspired by Claude Mellan’s engravings and the Japanese art of Kintsugi, I bruised the prints with thorns, then healed them with gold leaf. Each panel reflects a phase in Christ’s journey—agony, crucifixion, resurrection—revealing how brokenness, like His, can be redeemed into something beautiful and divine.

More Than Music: The Shared Meal at the Heart of Our Oratorio Journey
In Vox Chamber Choir, our Saturday rehearsals are about more than music. Between sacred texts and soaring harmonies, we gather around a shared meal—Tupperware treasures and laughter flowing freely. These moments of connection build the trust and warmth that shape our music. As we prepare for our Oratorio, it’s clear: the journey, nourished by food and friendship, is just as meaningful as the performance itself.
