Jaco de Wet is one of our Brilliant Baritones, and this is what he has to say about this spectacular upcoming concert:
"I am one of the newbies in the choir, hence I am nicknamed: 'JacTwo'...since there's already an existing Jaco! The Vox Spring concert will be my debut performance in a professional choir and I could not be more excited! #goals
More so, performing in the Voortrekkermonument, is the perfect way to start my choir journey with VOX. The acoustics lends itself perfectly to the music conposed by our conductor, Franco Prinsloo's - "Missa Pro Defunctis: I. Kyrie Eleison". One of my favourites we are preparing for this performance.
As a Baritone, it was intimidating to sing along some of the best voices in the world, but now, instead of feeling intimidated, I am inspired. It reminded me why I performed in choirs as a youngster. Of course, the music you get to perform, but most importantly, because of the people. And VOX is not an exception. Everyone shares your singing passion for singing exceptional choral music in this choir.
I am so excited to share this experience with my family and friends. And I am honoured to be part of this talented group of people, who I most likely, will call my family and friends in no time!"
