THE VOX SPRING TEAM ~ John Robbertse (T2)

We are super excited for our Vox Spring Concert | Vox Lentekonsert on Sunday, 03 September at 15:00 in the magnificent acoustics of the Heldesaal of Voortrekkermonument in Pretoria.🌸

John Robbertse is one of our Talented Tenors, and this is what he has to say about this spectacular upcoming concert:

"🌸🌸🌸Spring is HERE!!! 🌸🌸🌸

I can think of no better way than spending it with my dearest #Vox_Tribe, family and friends this Sunday, 3 September, at the majestic Voortrekker Monument! Apparently, the BEST acoustics in town! 🤩

Being a part of the Vox Chamber Choir has been one of my greatest blessings thus far. We are more than just a professional choir, we are a family, a COMMUNITY.❤️ A place to run to when life hands you lemons. 🍋🍋🍋🍋

Franco Prinsloo is a true artist, painting the most WONDERFUL pictures with his music! It is a privilege to even play a small part in this creative process as a Second Tenor. #T2

My personal favourite piece that we will be performing on Sunday is "Ek Sal Sterf En Na My Vader Gaan", a poem by Breyten Breytenbach that Franco composed.

Listen to it here to get a taster of what awaits you: Click here.

It truly takes you on such a magical and spiritual journey through time and space, into a realm where angels are fishing for stars in Heaven while sitting on the roof of the 'Bordienghuis' in Wellington (where Breytenbach grew up). A piece that speaks to everyone longing to return 'home' one day after their life's journey has run its course.✨

See you this Sunday! 🌸🌸🌸"
